Chris Allen, Director of Employee Benefits

Chris Allen is the Director of Employee Benefits here at SCS. He began his career in the Employee Benefits field over 20 years ago with a starting position in the mailroom at a national insurance carrier. After several years of working in multiple roles at various carriers, he set his sights on Employee Benefits sales where he could explore, research, present and execute the best benefit plans possible for his clients. Since then, he has worked for three of the top ten brokerage firms in America and has brought that experience to his clients and the SCS team since he joined us in 2009.

In his free time, Chris enjoys traveling with his wife, Laura, and spending time with their five kids and five grandchildren.

Christina Aguilar, Benefits Program Manager

Christina Aguilar brings over 10 years of experience to her role at SCS as an Benefits Program Manager for our Employee Benefits Division. Her mission is to provide excellent service to our valued clients through her attention to detail, experience and excellent follow through. Her day-to-day responsibilities are focused on assisting clients with any needs that they may have while supporting our internal Employee Benefits team.

Christina currently resides in Bothell with her fiancé, Shane, and their 3 children: Isabella, Angelica and Victor. In her spare time she coaches fastpitch softball and enjoys spending time with her family.

Julie BrinkmanN, Benefits Program Manager

Julie joined SCS in 2014, after spending many years in the health insurance industry in a bevy of roles. She brings all of that knowledge and experience to bear in assisting our employee benefits team and our clients as a Benefits Program Manager. Julie specializes in Medicare plans and is able to be a resource for anybody interested in Medicare plan options. Julie prides herself on delivering excellent service that goes above and beyond expectation. Her day-to-day duties include supporting clients, employees, and the health benefits team, as well as interacting with the carriers on their behalf.

Julie resides in Tacoma with her husband, Barry and her son, Alex. In her spare time she enjoys music of all sorts, and spending time with her family.

MaryKay Knehr, Benefits Consultant

MaryKay brings over 30 years of experience in the health insurance industry and is excited to call SCS home. Her wide range of experience has allowed her to work with small startup companies to companies with over 1000 employees. While in the past MaryKay has worked for regional and international brokerage firms, she finds a smaller locally owned firm is the best fit for her. Her role emphasizes on client interaction, and strives to build strong relationships with those she is supporting.

MaryKay and her family enjoy boating all year round in the Puget Sound and San Juan Islands.  Traveling is high on her list of must do's, and has seen many parts of the world when opportunities have allowed.  A bucket list for many years has been to jump out of a perfectly good airplane!

Kim Moger, Benefits Consultant

Kim has a degree in HR and in 1995 started her career in Employee Benefits. She has specialized in both individual and group ancillary/voluntary benefits. She has worked with a wide spectrum of businesses and she represents the best carriers in the industry. Kim has held many leadership positions over the years however has chosen to go back to what she is most passionate about. She feels she makes the most impact working directly with clients, helping people. Her expertise is listening and consulting with employers and employees to guide them in benefit selection to meet their individual needs.

Kim and her husband Dave live in Issaquah with their five children and three dogs. In their spare time, they love to enjoy their beach house in Poulsbo, travel and spend time with family and friends.

Vicki Curtis, Employee Benefits Alternate Funding Specialist

Vicki Curtis brings over 30 years of Employee Benefits knowledge to SCS. Much of that time working as a Consultant/Producer, Account Manager and Data Analyst specializing in Self-Funding and Alternative Funding in the large group medical market. Her knowledge and ability to explain the financial nuances of this type of funding mechanism is truly vital in the current medical insurance climate. Claims experience reporting and data analysis is also crucial in determining medical plan designs that can positively affect an employer's bottom line. Vicki prides herself in her ability to build strong lasting relationships with her clients and strong partnerships with the insurance carriers.

Vicki and her husband enjoy time with their son, his wife and 5 grandchildren. In their spare time they love Seahawks football, traveling and spending time with friends.
